INFO: The premiere vinyl release by our friend SEMILANCEATA from Sweden, Amsvartne is a bleak affair, toiling through murky atmospheres and dissonant instrumentation. Two sidelong tracks showcase a heavy dose of droning ritual folk music with reverb-soaked piano, detuned guitar, non-rhythmic percussion and other strange and foreign sounds. SEMILANCEATA lives up to his name, crafting hallucinogenic experiences that are deeply enveloping and repetitiously meditative through their slow paced nature.
Released by Darker Than Black in an edition of 300 copies on black vinyl, with full color inner sleeves, and clear spot gloss on the outside jacket. Photos taken from label site.
